The screen free sites can't run: 60,000+ listings, private companies included

Verified against Godel Terminal v4.6.1 on 2026-08-29 · entitlements: Nasdaq real-time; intl delayed · freshness class B

The first time I ran this screener I sorted the whole world by market cap and just scrolled. Somewhere between Broadcom and Eli Lilly sat Anthropic, OpenAI and SpaceX — little "P" badges on their tickers, private companies living in the same table as the listed giants. That was the moment I understood the universe here: roughly 60,000 listings across world venues, including the part of the market no free screener has ever heard of.

This page is the working reference for EQS — every filter, every control, every quirk I've hit. It's a fundamentals-and-valuation screen over the global universe, not a chart pattern scanner; for price action, feed what you find here into the chart. Bookmark this one; the guides link back to it constantly.

Opening the screener

Type the bare command EQS. No ticker is required. The window title is EQUITY SCREENER and carries a Beta tag.

Layout is split:

Default result columns are Ticker, Name, Market Cap (USD), and Last. Additional columns are added with the + control. Columns are sortable. Paging reports a range such as 1-500 of 60,152 with Prev / Next.

The universe is global equities: 60,152 listings on our verified date — the count moves as listings come and go. Private-market companies appear with a P badge next to the ticker. Names seen in that set include Anthropic, OpenAI, SpaceX, and ByteDance.

Command-line reminder: backtick (`) focuses the command line from anywhere. Esc twice closes the focused window.

Filters

Filters live in the left panel. + Add filter opens a search box to pick a field. After values are set, Run applies them. Clear drops the current filter set.

Two independent toggles sit with the filter stack:

Control Effect
Show primary listings only Collapses cross-listings so each security appears once, on its main venue.
Hide results with no trades Drops rows without recent trade prints.

Verified filter fields:

Running a screen and reading results

  1. Open EQS.
  2. Add fields with + Add filter.
  3. Set values. Use range shorthand on numeric fields where needed (5B).
  4. Optionally enable Show primary listings only and/or Hide results with no trades.
  5. Click Run.
  6. Sort the table by clicking column headers. Add columns with +.
  7. Page with Prev / Next. Display is capped at 500 rows per page (e.g. 1-500 of 60,152).

Results mix US and international listings. International tickers carry venue suffixes. Observed suffixes:

Suffix Venue geography
TT Taiwan
KS Korea
HK Hong Kong
NA Netherlands
AB Saudi

Local-currency Last prices on international venues show a (D) delayed badge. US listings are real-time.

Private names show the P badge. They have no live price.

The default sort is Market Cap, descending.

Exporting and acting on results

Export to Excel sits on the results side. Vendor docs also list CSV and JSON export.

Right-click a ticker row for a context menu that launches other commands on that name. Confirmed examples: DES, G, N.

Typical handoff: screen in EQS → right-click a row → DES (or G / N) on the selected ticker. Before relying on an export for anything serious, spot-check whether it carried the full match set or the visible page.

Export does not replace paging. If the match count exceeds 500, walk pages or export rather than assuming the visible page is the whole universe.

A worked screen, start to finish

The fastest way to learn the panel is one real pass:

  1. EQS, then + Add filter → pick Market Cap (USD) → set the range 500M to 5B.
  2. + Add filterSector → Technology.
  3. + Add filterP/S (TTM) → maximum 3.
  4. Toggle Show primary listings only on (one row per company) and Hide results with no trades on.
  5. Run. You now have a mid-cap tech value universe most free screeners can't assemble — global listings included — sorted by size. Sort by P/S instead by clicking that column, then right-click anything interesting → DES and you're in the 3-minute research loop.

The point of the exercise is the handoff: screens are only as good as the research loop they feed.
